European Training

Millennium Development Leaders



Kasta Morrely Association organized during September to December 2010 the European project Millennium Development Leaders. The project was funded with support from the European Commission through Youth in Action Programme. The project Millennium Development Leaders promotes the Millennium Development Goals, leadership and active citizenship for training youth leaders to adopt an active behavior for solving the existing global challenges.
One of the project actions was the European training Millennium Development Leaders held in Iasi on 25th of September- 4th of October 2010. At this European training attended 26 European leaders that represented organizations, institutions, administrations of reference at  European level from Bulgaria, Denmark, Germany, Greece, Italy, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Turkey.

The project themes included:

-        Universal Education
-        Gender Equality
-        Child Health
-        Maternal Health
-        Combat HIV / AIDS
-        Environmental sustainability
-        Global Partnership
-       Active participation and involvement
-       Awareness of solidarity, tolerance and social inclusion of youth with fewer opportunities
-       Leadership


During  the training development were used methods of non-formal education such as workshops, role plays, debates, practical exercises, exercises of the conceptual delimitation, social theater, public civic consultation, team building activities etc. and training sessions with qualified specialists in the areas addressed.
